Cookie Policy and browser technologies

How MachScore uses cookies and local browser storage, why they are used and the choices available to you.

Cookies and local storage explained

Cookies are pieces of information sent by a website and stored by your browser. MachScore also uses localStorage and sessionStorage: these are not HTTP cookies, but can store settings or identifiers on your device. Some technologies are needed for requested functions; optional ones are governed by applicable consent rules.

Sign-in and security cookies

The technical cookies cl_access and cl_refresh support the signed-in session and session renewal. They are set when you sign in and cleared when you sign out. The code provides default lifetimes of one hour and 30 days respectively, which may differ under the live configuration; actual values should be checked in the browser.

Signing in with Google

Connecting a Google account may set the temporary cookies ms_google_oauth_state and ms_google_oauth_nonce. These help verify the authentication flow, have a specified maximum lifetime of 10 minutes and are cleared when the process finishes. They do not contain your Google password.

Language and preferences

The calciolive_locale and calciolive_locale_force cookies help remember the language selected through the website’s existing Translate control. Other choices, including unsynchronised favourites or saved slips, may be stored on your device. Clearing local storage may remove those choices.

Favourites, saved slips and personal features

Favourite teams and matches, saved slips and settings may be linked to your account or stored in your browser, depending on the feature. This helps restore your choices and provide the services you request. Clearing browser data may remove preferences that were not synchronised.

Usage statistics and analytics

Where the required consent has been given, our first-party analytics may use pseudonymous visitor and session IDs, viewed pages, device category, browser, operating system, language, screen size, referral source and interactions with certain features. This tracking is configured for the production domain. Pseudonymous IDs are not direct names but can still qualify as personal data.

Advertising, bookmakers and external links

MachScore is an information service: it displays odds and predictions but does not accept wagers. Advertisements, commercial links or bookmaker links, if present, may lead to third-party sites with their own notices and tracking. The existence of an advertising space does not mean that an ad partner is active; actual partners must be disclosed when enabled.

Google AdSense cookies and advertising technologies

Advertising placeholders on MachScore do not mean that Google advertising cookies are already active. If Google AdSense is activated, Google and other advertising vendors may use cookies and similar technologies for ads, subject to the applicable choices. The actual cookie names, durations, vendors and purposes will be checked in the browser and reflected in this policy. The current local banner choice is not equivalent to IAB TCF consent from a certified CMP: a Google-certified CMP will be required before serving personalized ads in the relevant regions. Google ad personalization can be managed at https://myadcenter.google.com/. If enabled, advertising vendors may also use web beacons, IP addresses and other identifiers to serve and measure ads. Consent choices and withdrawal

The banner lets you accept optional technologies or continue with essential ones only. You can reopen it using the button below to change or withdraw your choice. The current banner’s Information button displays more information; it does not yet provide separate controls for each partner or purpose. Withdrawal stops new processing based on that choice but does not automatically erase previously stored records.

Identified cookie inventory

Cookies identified in the website code: cl_access and cl_refresh (sign-in and renewal); ms_google_oauth_state and ms_google_oauth_nonce (temporary Google sign-in verification); calciolive_locale and calciolive_locale_force (language). The first group supports requested functions, while Google verification cookies last at most 10 minutes. Other lifetimes and presence depend on usage and configuration; this inventory must also be checked in a browser, including when signed in.

Browser storage inventory

The following keys have been identified: calciolive-consent (banner choice), calciolive-favorites-v1 (local favourites), machscore-saved-tickets-v1 (local saved slips), machscore-analytics-visitor-v1 (analytics visitor identifier) and machscore-analytics-session-v1 (analytics session identifier). The last two are generated for measurement where consent conditions are met; the session identifier uses sessionStorage and the others use localStorage. Clearing browser data can remove them.

Removing browser data

You can clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings. This may require you to sign in again and may delete unsynchronised favourites or saved slips. To change only your choice about optional technologies, use the button on this page.

Purposes and legal bases

We process information needed to provide requested features and manage accounts (performance of the service), protect the website from abuse and incidents (legitimate interests, subject to assessment), comply with the law and answer requests. Where consent is required for non-essential analytics or advertising technologies, consent is the legal basis and can be withdrawn.

Contact and updates

For personal data requests, email machscore.official@gmail.com. We will update this notice if the website’s technologies, partners or purposes change. See the Privacy Policy for more information about personal data processing.
